MESSAGE FROM THE VENETIAN CAUSEWAY NEIGHBORHOOD ALLIANCE:

VENETIAN CAUSEWAY TO BE CHANGED DRAMATICALLY!

Finally, the Venetian Causeway Streetscape WILL Start

Miami-Dade County within a few weeks will start its oft-delayed $8 million “Venetian Causeway Streetscape Project.”  Hear from the County Project Manager and Contractor responsible for this project:

TUESDAY, October 19
 at 7:00 p.m.

1000 Venetian Way, lobby (on Biscayne Island)

LEARN ABOUT THE NEW THINGS HAPPENING ON OUR HISTORIC ROADWAY, MEET YOUR NEIGHBORS, AND ENJOY SOME FOOD AND SOCIAL TIME AT OUR 2010 ANNUAL MEETING!

Addressing solely Venetian Way, the one street running through all the Venetian Islands, from the West drawbridge to the East drawbridge, this Project will: 

·         Add needed drainage
·         Put in sidewalks and gutters
·         Include “traffic calming” devices (traffic islands)
·         Redo the landscaping

Of necessity, there will be traffic disturbances

Hear from the Project Manager for the County and private Contractor responsible for this important Venetian Islands project and its schedule, staging, anticipated traffic issues; raise any questions you may have; and meet your neighbors.
